In a post on her social media platform, Alade appeared to caution against associating with certain individuals before the Nigerian Super Eagles’ match against the Elephants of Ivory Coast in the African Cup of Nations final.
“Make some people no carry their badluck go dey do handshake before our eagles play o,” she wrote.
While some supported her sentiment, many criticized her for lacking patriotism, particularly highlighting her previous involvement with politicians, including Tinubu.
“They weren’t bad luck when they paid you to come and shake your bumbum at their rally. Hypocrite,” many challenged her.
The incident comes amidst heightened political engagement with the Super Eagles’ campaign, with Tinubu expressing his intention to attend the match in support of the team.
