The executive governor of Ogun State, Dapo Abiodun, has congratulated Akinwumi Adesina on his re-election as president of African Development Bank.
Akinwumi Adesina was re-elected to serve a second five year term as President of the @AfDB_Group in an election he received 100% of votes of all regional and non-regional members.
This he made known on his official Twitter handle, @@dabiodunMFR, where he stated that his success is indeed a blessing to Ogun State and Nigeria as a whole.
“On behalf of the good people of Ogun State, I congratulate @akin_adesina on his re-election as President of the African Development Bank, @AfDB_Group.
“It is not surprising, and it is indeed a blessing to our great Nation, Nigeria to have retained leadership of the regional institution, when one considers the many developmental contributions by the Bank to Member Countries.
“I wish him a successful new term that will steadily continue to take the African region to greater heights,” he wrote.
