According to local reports, the incident occurred in the early hours of Sunday while Abubakar Dan Gaske Mai Nasara was asleep in the couple’s home.
Aisha Muhammad was alleged to have attacked him with a knife, inflicting fatal injuries before neighbours raised an alarm.
Residents described the incident as devastating and unprecedented, noting that the marriage had been celebrated only days earlier with community prayers and festivities.
Community leaders said the loss has left the area in deep shock and mourning.
