The 32-year-old centre-back had been sidelined for around two months due to the injury and had earlier missed three months of the season with the same issue.
Ajayi has featured in three games this month since recovering, including last Saturday’s defeat against his former club, West Bromwich Albion.
“I am feeling really good. It was my second 90 minutes, so I am getting back into the full swing of things and looking forward to pushing for the rest of the season,” Ajayi said on the club’s official website.
