The state’s readiness spans infrastructure, security, healthcare, commerce, transportation, and tourism, creating an environment ideal for residents, visitors, and investors.

Key highlights include:

  • Road rehabilitation across major towns like Awka, Onitsha, Nnewi, and Ekwulobia, enhancing connectivity and traffic flow.
  • Market improvements in Onitsha Main Market, Ochanja, Eke Awka, and Nkwo Nnewi, with better sanitation, organisation, and congestion management.
  • Security reinforcements, including joint patrols, reorganised checkpoints, and active community vigilante participation.
  • Healthcare preparedness, with hospitals and emergency facilities strengthening their capacity for the festive period.
  • Transportation efficiency, featuring improved management at Chinua Achebe International Airport and major motor parks.
  • Tourism and entertainment upgrades, with hotels, malls, and recreational sites ready for increased visitor activity.
  • Cultural events calendar, branded ‘Onwa Dezemba,’ featuring festivals, carol nights, and community celebrations extending into early January.

Aburime emphasised that coordinated governance and community participation ensure Anambra’s festive season will be marked by peace, accessibility, and prosperity.
