Anu paternity controversy deepens as the 12 year old’s mother accuses the Adeleke family of intimidation and denies claims of further DNA tests
The mother of Anu, the 12 year old girl at the centre of an ongoing paternity controversy involving Afrobeats star David Adeleke, popularly known as Davido, has accused the Adeleke family of intimidation, manipulation and abuse of power, while firmly denying claims that additional DNA tests were conducted in 2020.

In a strongly worded statement released late Wednesday, the woman alleged that her sister, Titilayo Labinjoh, had been in contact with Dr Adedeji Adeleke, the father of the singer, since the COVID 19 pandemic, a development she described as both shocking and deeply troubling.
According to her account, Titilayo Labinjoh recently called their mother from Abuja, expressing fear over renewed media attention surrounding Anu and complaints from colleagues at her workplace.
She said her mother advised Titilayo to ignore the situation, a response that left her questioning the emotional toll on the child at the centre of the dispute.
The mother said she was devastated by suggestions that Titilayo Labinjoh may have received money from the Adeleke family, describing the situation as a painful betrayal within her own household.
She also rejected claims that she worked with controversial blogger Kemi Olunloyo to amplify the dispute online.
Clarifying the relationship, she said Olunloyo created a social media page for Anu in 2019 using publicly available photographs and later handed control of the page to the family.
She explained that she is not an active social media user and did not post content for several years, resuming activity only in 2023 during Anu’s 10th birthday photoshoot.
She added that she no longer lives in Ibadan and that Anu currently resides with her grandmother.
Describing herself as a trader who sources goods from neighbouring countries, she insisted there was no point at which her sister asked Olunloyo to stop posting about Anu, adding that both women do not communicate directly.
She said her mother, Mrs Ropo Labinjoh, independently posts some videos of Anu and that the family has had no direct contact with Olunloyo despite her continued public commentary on the matter.
Recalling earlier events, the woman noted that Olunloyo publicly supported the family during a 2018 appeal and once held a press conference on their behalf, a gesture she said was motivated by sympathy rather than coordination.
In an explosive message directed at Dr Adedeji Adeleke, she urged him to stop speaking on Davido’s behalf, insisting that any discussion regarding Anu should come directly from the singer.
She accused the Adeleke family of abusing wealth and influence, alleging that a family member was deployed to monitor her movements and communications.
The woman further warned that any harm to herself, her daughter or her mother should be investigated by the police with the Adeleke family held accountable.
Addressing conflicting narratives around DNA testing, she categorically denied claims by Dr Adeleke that additional tests were conducted years after the initial process, stating that neither she nor Anu met with him in 2020 for further DNA examinations.
She also dismissed speculation linking Anu to Davido’s cousin, B Red, saying she has not seen him since 2013 and that the child has never met him.
According to her, suspicions involving B Red emerged from questions raised during an interview conducted by Kemi Olunloyo, portions of which are now circulating online.
The latest statement comes less than 24 hours after Dr Adedeji Adeleke publicly addressed the Anu paternity controversy, outlining the Adeleke family’s account of how multiple DNA tests were allegedly arranged to determine whether the child is biologically related to Davido.

In that interview, Dr Adeleke said the family became aware of the child after receiving documents, photographs and correspondence purportedly linking the singer to Anu’s mother, prompting what he described as extensive efforts to resolve the matter through DNA testing.
