An All Progressives Congress (APC) chieftain has called on the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike, to stop attacking state governors and concentrate on policies that improve the welfare of Nigerian workers.

The party stalwart said political leaders should focus on addressing the economic and social challenges facing citizens rather than engaging in public confrontations with elected governors.

According to the APC chieftain, issues such as workers’ welfare, improved living conditions and economic opportunities deserve greater attention as Nigerians continue to grapple with rising costs of living.

He argued that public office holders should promote constructive engagement and governance instead of deepening political divisions through frequent verbal exchanges.

The remarks come amid heightened political tensions ahead of the 2027 general election, with Wike remaining a prominent figure in national political debates.

The APC chieftain maintained that delivering tangible benefits to workers and ordinary Nigerians should take precedence over political disputes, urging leaders to place governance above personal or partisan disagreements.
