‘APC miscreants at work’ Dare Adeleke denies ‘jail bound’ statement credited to him

As the political turf in the South West goes into active gear towards the 2023 general Elections and the battle for control of the region heats up, propaganda, which is fast becoming a weapon of campaign, has again been unleashed.

Evidently, the APC and PDP, the two leading parties are at daggers drawn.

As expected, there are new alliances with some abandoning party loyalty and crossing over to the opponent’s camp for personal reasons.

One of such men is former governor of Ekiti State, Ayo Fayose, who has been seen praising APC strongman, Bola Ahmed Tinubu, rumoured to be gearing up to contest for Nigerian president in 2023.

There are weighty allegations that Fayose has pledged to deliver the South West to Tinubu, hence has formed a coalition to fight Governor Seyi Makinde of Oyo State, who is presently accepted as the leader of the opposition party in South West.

One of those, who has been criticising Fayose’s actions was PDP Stalwart and Oyo Pacesetters Transport Company Chairman, Dare Adeleke.

He had advised the national chairman of the party to discipline Ayo Fayose, in the light of his activities with Tinubu, in a widely circulated open Letter.

Adeleke, it seems is now in the firing line for daring to write the open Letter as the propaganda mill has been unleashed against him.

The Pacesetters News in a report wrote: “Adeleke, said while responding to comment by Fayose’s Spokesperson, Lere Olayinka that; “You and your paymaster are bound for jail. No matter how you twisted (sic) the proceedings, he shall be jailed.” Adeleke has debunked the statement.

“As much as I am not afraid of anybody, I wish to state that I never made such a statement to any news medium, neither did I circulate anything of such on any social media platform.

“For Olayinka to say His Excellency, Seyi Makinde, is in approval of a false statement credited to me, shows how far they will go to set me their propaganda mill against anyone who points out obvious facts against them. Lere is too small for me to join words with at anytime but they should exclude Gov Seyi Makinde, a respected Nigerian, out of their messy affair”.

“Lere Olayinka can continue sharing malicious and fabricated news against my person. I am unperturbed.

“I just want the world to know that the APC miscreants are at work again, publishing untruths and telling outright lies,” he concluded.
