The 2020 edition of the Legends of Nollywood Award was a show-stopper in every right as Apostle Anselm Madubuko, Senator Dino Melaye and the honourable Minister of State for Budget and Planning, Prince Clem Ikanade Agba led other dignitaries to the well-attended event. It was another spectacular show by all standards as many industry heavyweights, politicians of note and seasoned experts from different sectors of the economy graced the occasion,City News reports.

It was indeed a day of joy for the convener and President of Legends of Nollywood, the hard-working and ever optimistic Paul Obazele who against all the odds staged the 7th edition of what has become a reference point in Nigeria’s film industry.

From when green carpet opens right until when the curtain draws, It was celebration, fun and edutainment of sorts as everyone clearly benefited from the words of exhortation from no other than the senior Pastor of the Revival Assembly,Apostle Anselm Madubuko who urged everyone to be closer to God and see this life as a journey.

In his own remarks, the honourable Minister of State for Budget and Planning, Prince Clem Ikanade Agba showers encomiums on Obazele for what he’s been able to achieve with his talent, resources and doggedness. The minister says he’s happy Mr. Obazele is empowering the physically-challenged in the society via his platform and he hinted that the government at the center has already factored in the set of people in one of the schemes which will be made known to the public anytime soon.

In his address read by his lovely wife,Mrs Chibuzor Obazele, the founder of Legends of Nollywood Award  once again states that the main thrust of the platform is ” to pay glowing tribute to the great personalities and programmes that provided the capacity that has helped to form and shape our (film)industry and a time to celebrate the truly memorable and greatest achievements in our motion picture history”.

And as Paul Obazele’s alter ego, veteran actor Zack Orji played the role of the co- host very well as he was on hand to receive dignitaries at the event. He also signed autographs for well over three hundred guests who were super excited to hobnob with the Nollywood stars who came in large numbers to grace the event.

City News reports that it was fun all the way at the event as veteran actors like Zen Ejiro, Prince Jide Kosoko,Patrick Doyle,Chico Ejiro, Amechi Munagor, Francis Duru, Hilda Dokubo, Segun Arinze, Fidelis Duker, Moji Oyetayo(Mama Ajasco),Favour Benson,Roseya Okwoli, City News Publisher -Sola Adeyemo and others mixed freely with guests on the green carpet.
