The Amazon Foundation, a humanitarian charity organisation has marked its 18th year anniversary in Lagos.
According to a statement by the founder, Dr. Bose Olubo Adegeye, the organisation was formed on her need to help the needy in the Nigerian society bearing in mind that governments efforts alone can’t be enough.
“Amazon Foundation came into being in 2003 by Dr. Bose Olubo Adegeye to help the less privileged, sustain African cultural history, and celebrate icons while they are still alive,” she said.

“It was created in order to help the less privileged in our society and making life easier for them; maintenance, sustainability, and appreciation of our History, which includes our culture and tradition. And finally to appreciate and celebrate of our icons while still living.
“We have many Amazon Foundation Icons in and outside Nigeria. We are very proud to contribute to the Sustainability of democracy, culture, tradition, and history of our generation. Now it is time to celebrate 18 years of the Amazon Foundation.
