Speaking at the 19th Annual Thanksgiving Service organized by Abraham’s Tabernacle (Baptist International Worship Centre) in Sagamu, Otunba Daniel, a former Governor of Ogun State, expressed confidence in Tinubu’s capacity and competence, asserting that the President would bring about positive changes.

Addressing the current economic challenges, he acknowledged Tinubu’s awareness of citizens’ living conditions and highlighted the administration’s efforts to address difficulties, albeit with a recognition that the restoration process may take time.

Otunba Daniel assured the public that Tinubu would not take them for granted and encouraged continued support for the President and his administration.

The senator, with over 20 years of acquaintance with Tinubu, vouched for the President’s capability and competency, assuring that the fortunes of the country would turn around under his leadership.

Despite potential initial challenges, he urged patience and ongoing support for Tinubu, emphasizing the President’s commitment to delivering on election promises.

“At the beginning it may be a little bit difficult. But I want to say to all of you that I have known Asiwaju (Bola Ahmed Tinubu) now for over 20 years and I know that he is capable and competent. And I know that one thing he must not do is to take you for granted.

“I know that Asiwaju will turn around the fortunes of this country and I’m sure it would happen before long. So, if there are little challenges, let’s just accept it that things like this normally go. I urge you to continue to support him and his administration,” he said.

Looking ahead to the new year, the former governor expressed hope for peace, prosperity, and development in Ogun State.

He reaffirmed his dedication to ensuring adequate representation for his constituents and facilitating federal government projects in his senatorial district.

The Bishop of Methodist Church of Nigeria (Diocese of Lagos North), Rt. Rev. Gboyega Ohu, delivered a sermon on “Thanking God for total victory, recovery, and restoration.”

Ohu encouraged Nigerians to remain faithful to God and trust in Him, emphasizing the importance of gratitude for divine protection and provision.

Commending Senator Daniel for the annual thanksgiving program, Ohu called attention to the urgent need for the repair of the Sagamu-Ijebu-Ode road.

“In the course of our campaign, I went through all the 103 wards in the Senatorial District and I know where the shoe pinches. Please rest assured that one by one we will continue to do what we need to do,” the senator responded.

Dignitaries present at the thanksgiving service included former Nigeria’s High Commissioner to the United Kingdom, Ambassador Sarafa Tunji Isola; Odole Oodua, Sir Kessington Adebutu; Ambassador Tokunbo Awolowo-Dosumu; Hon. Oladipupo Adebutu; Rt. Hon. Muyiwa Oladipo; Barrister Taiwo Adeoluwa and Chief Jimi Lawal.

Others were Chief Joju Fadairo; Chief (Mrs) Abba Folawiyo; Mrs Oluwatoyin Isiaka; and Hon. Lukman Adeleye. Traditional rulers in attendance were led by the Akarigbo and Paramount Ruler of Remoland, Oba Babatunde Ajayi, and Olu of Ilaro and Paramount Ruler of Yewaland, Oba Kehinde Olugbenle.
