Big Beats Records, a leading force in the Nigerian music industry, has announced ambitious plans to elevate the careers of its three newly signed Afrobeats artists: Sosi, Tyrod, and Lil Lekxy.

This strategic move comes barely two months after their official signing, with the label aiming to refine their talents and prepare them for stardom.

Abimbola Hakeem, the chairman of Big Beats Records, expressed his confidence in the potential of Sosi, Tyrod, and Lil Lekxy, stating, “At Big Beats Records, we are confident of the talent imbued in Sosi, Tyrod, and Lil Lekxy because we went through a process before identifying their skills and potentials. These three young men are the future of Nigerian music, and we are not in a rush to share their talent with the world. They are currently in the Big Beats Records academy, where they are going through a refining process and learning the tricks and hacks of the music industry while also creating new sounds that will complement and dominate the music scene.”

Kunle Rashid, the Chief Executive Officer, echoed this sentiment, highlighting the unique styles of the artists. “One thing that will stand these rare talents out will be their distinctive styles which are different from what we have at the moment. Interestingly, they will be merging these individual talents to create a Big Beats Records Allstars release soon.”

Profiling the artists, Rashid began with Lil Lekxy, born Olanrewaju Abdul Rasheed Olamilekan on June 17, 1999, in the Alimosho area of Lagos State. An Afro pop artist, Lil Lekxy started his music career at the tender age of 13, releasing his first single at 15. Inspired by artists like 9ice, Olamide, and Vector, Lil Lekxy hails from Kwara State and joined Big Beats Records in April 2024.

Sosi Saheed Sabi, known for his nickname “Sabi Kenu,” has a story of perseverance and resilience. Born on September 13, 1995, in Ilorin, Kwara State, Sosi’s music is deeply influenced by the melodies of his hometown, Kenu. His journey from Kwara State to the national music scene symbolizes hope and determination. Sosi signed with Big Beats Records in April 2024, marking a significant milestone in his career.

Quadri Rasheed Abiodun, popularly known as Tyrod Omo Mopol, was born on December 1, 1996, in Port Harcourt. Raised in a royal family from Irin Oye, Okuku Local Government, Osun State, Tyrod’s music blends Afro pop and R&B. Despite early challenges, including his family’s concerns about his musical aspirations, Tyrod’s dedication led him to Lagos, where he released his debut single “Faraway” in 2023. His official signing with Big Beats Records in 2024 marks the beginning of an exciting new chapter in his career.
