BOCA Energy CSR initiatives expand nationwide as the firm strengthens community impact and leadership in Nigeria’s oil and gas industry

BOCA Energy Services Limited has reaffirmed its growing industry influence through expanded BOCA Energy CSR initiatives and sustained investment in strategic sponsorships across Nigeria’s oil and gas sector.

The indigenous energy solutions company said its operational strategy continues to combine technical excellence with community development, positioning corporate responsibility as a central pillar of its long-term growth model.

Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer, James Ukachukwu, stated that the organisation’s approach goes beyond infrastructure delivery to include measurable social impact in host communities.

According to James Ukachukwu, BOCA’s corporate social responsibility programmes span education, healthcare, sports development, infrastructure support and environmental sustainability across oil-producing regions.

Recent interventions by the company include the renovation of primary schools, construction of potable water boreholes and medical outreach initiatives that provided free health screenings and medication to residents.

The initiatives, officials said, reflect a deliberate effort to ensure that economic success translates into tangible community benefits.

“Our CSR initiatives are integral to how we define success as an organisation. When communities thrive, businesses thrive,” James Ukachukwu said.

Beyond community engagement, BOCA has strengthened its industry presence through high-profile sponsorship of technical conferences and professional platforms aimed at advancing dialogue on Nigeria’s energy future.

In 2025, the company served as a headline sponsor of the Nigeria Oil and Gas Conference and Exhibition and supported major engagements organised by the National Association of Petroleum Explorationists, the Society of Petroleum Engineers and the Nigerian Content Development and Monitoring Board.

Business Development Director, Bashar Suleman, said the sponsorship strategy was designed to promote innovation, collaboration and continuous professional development within the sector.

He noted that investments in technical training programmes and university partnerships were helping to prepare the next generation of Nigerian energy professionals.

BOCA’s operational strength is supported by a wide service portfolio covering engineering, procurement and construction, project management, drilling operations, fabrication, maintenance and supply chain logistics across upstream, midstream and downstream segments.

Executive Director of Operations, Reginald Onyirioha-Ofoegbu, said the company’s ability to deliver complex projects safely and efficiently had earned the trust of major industry players operating within Nigeria’s challenging energy environment.

With more than 100 completed projects and a growing client base, BOCA said it plans to expand both its technical operations and BOCA Energy CSR footprint as part of a broader strategy to drive sustainable industrial development.

Industry observers note that as Nigeria accelerates energy transition efforts and infrastructure expansion, firms combining operational capability with community impact are increasingly shaping the sector’s competitive landscape.
