Ambassador Koussou, founder and CEO of Dau-O-Gik Oil and Gas Ltd, will represent the AU in international forums, advocating for Africa’s developmental priorities amidst global decarbonisation debates.
His responsibilities will include promoting policies that ensure Africa’s hydrocarbon resources drive continental prosperity and integration.

Through disciplined cost management, compliance, and strategic decision-making, the company has navigated economic volatility, regulatory shifts, and foreign exchange challenges while maintaining resilience and operational efficiency.
Agenda 2063, the AU’s 50-year framework for sustainable development and economic integration, underpins Koussou’s appointment.
The envoy’s role is considered crucial for translating the Agenda’s vision of an integrated, prosperous, and peaceful Africa into tangible outcomes.
