Brila Media debunks social media allegations, addressing fraud investigations involving over ₦150 million losses and reaffirming its integrity

[dropcap]B[/dropcap]rila Media, owners of Brila FM, has broken its silence on recent allegations circulating on social media, describing them as part of an orchestrated campaign of calumny by individuals implicated in fraudulent activities against the organisation.

The media house disclosed that it has been the victim of systematic criminal activities perpetrated by certain employees, resulting in financial losses exceeding ₦150 million over several years.

According to the company, investigations revealed fraudulent practices, including fund diversion, invoice fabrication, and system manipulation.

Following the discovery, the matter was referred to the appropriate authorities, leading to interrogations and confessions by the suspects involved.

Despite these developments, Brila Media noted a parallel digital campaign aimed at vilifying the organisation and its founder, Dr Larry Izamoje.

The alleged smear effort, it claims, is a calculated attempt by the accused to evade justice by garnering public sympathy.

In its statement, the company reaffirmed its commitment to the rule of law, stating that it has chosen to endure the defamatory attacks while awaiting the conclusion of investigations by law enforcement.

Brila Media stressed that while it remains a premium media organisation committed to professionalism, corporate governance, and stakeholder value creation, it will not tolerate criminal acts within its operations.

The management assured its listeners, business partners, and fans that it remains focused on delivering reliable sports content and maintaining its reputation as a trusted media platform.

Brila Media also pledged to reveal further details of the case when appropriate and ensure justice is served.
