Chelsea earned a deserved win in the return leg of the Carabao Cup semi-final on Wednesday as they went head-to-head against Tottenham at Tottenham Stadium.
The Blues started off the game the better and brighter side like they did in the former leg.
Chances upon chances came swinging in for the Blues before a thumping Toni Rudiger header sees them take the lead in the 17th minute.
Despite creating other avenues to which they can exploit the Tottenham’s shabby defense, Rudiger’s goal would be the only thing that seperates the two sides as Chelsea earn a win away from home.
Tottenham who had few chances in the game called for the usage of VAR after Harry Kane’s goal was ruled offside but their pleas would not hold water after the referee’s decision was upheld.
Chelsea’s win would see them head straight to the finals to take place later next month in February against the winner of the semi final fixture with either of Liverpool and Arsenal.
