A middle-aged man was captured in the act of dumping a fresh male body with probable machete cuts.
Israel has been recognized as the suspect. Israel, a resident of Rivers State’s Andoni Local Government Area, was detained on Friday while transporting a truck used in the dumping of a fresh male body on the Cherubim Road Bridge, Mile 3 Diobu axis in Port Harcourt.
According to Richman Jogwe, a local security official in the area, the perpetrator was apprehended with the truck used to dump the body.
“This truck was used to dump a dead person with machete slashes in the face, head, leg, and hands,” Jogwe explained.
So, this dude arrived to take the truck in the early hours of today, and we were able to apprehend him.”
He also said the suspect has been handed over to the Nkpolu Divisional Police Headquarters in Mile 3 Diobu for questioning.
