‘Charlatans!’ Adeleke slams self-titled Ogundele over bile against Oyo governor

Oyo People’s Democratic Party (PDP) chieftain and chairman of Oyo Pacesetters Transport Company, Dare Adeleke, has expressed disgust over a press statement issued by Dr Sikirulai Ogundele, a self acclaimed PDP Chairman of Chairmen.

In the statement, Ogundele had warned the executive governor of the state, Seyi Makinde, to stop threatening the PDP National Working Committee, saying that he was not the Governor-General of the PDP in the zone.

Reacting, Adeleke said in a statement made available to Freelanews that it was preposterous for a man to brandish a position that is non existent and place a shadow title upon himself.

Adeleke lambasted the so-called Chairman of Chairmen, saying he is one of those determined to derail the PDP in the South West.

Scavengers In Our Midst Will Fail

I read with disgust the press statement issued by a group of people who have gone out of their way to re-frame the statement made by our Governor, His Excellency, Governor Seyi Makinde of Oyo State on the next PDP South West Zonal Elections billed to take place in Ibadan on April 10, 2021.

In the first place, there is no such position as Chairman of Chairmen in the PDP Constitution. This is how charlatans, men of dubious and questionable character have been sharing positions among themselves and parading self in those false garbs. Nobody appointed Sikirulai Ogundele Chairman of Chairmen or any such title; it is a phantom title. These so called chairmen are a bunch of individuals without honour, people who have not been able to consolidate any form of traction within the party. They are perpetual scavengers who have been collecting money from All Progressives Congress’ Bola Tinubu to scuttle God’s own ordained party, the PDP, in the South West.

They have deliberately mangled the statement issued by His Excellency, in a desperate bid to cause more confusion in the party. Governor Makinde’s statement is everywhere for anyone who cares to read it. There was nowhere the governor threatened anybody.

His statement was directed as a warning to usurpers who are working against the party and who had done everything to scuttle the Congress.

These are unscrupulous elements who would do anything to sell out our great party to their master in Lagos.

However, I can assure them that their plans have failed and the Congress will hold in Ibadan and we are expecting delegates for the landmark event and very prepared.

Saying His Excellency is not the Governor General of the zone is mischievous. There is no such title as Governor General in today’s world but if we may view Ibadan’s strategic position as the former headquarters of the South West Region and it’s political relevance to the region, then the title Governor General would be replaced with Leader of the South West. Makinde maintains that position as the governor of Oyo State and leader of the PDP South West Zone. Their attempts at polarizing our party has failed and they are left scattered with confusion in their midst.

The reunification of our great party is a must and those vultures who had gather to feast, should shape in because there is no room for their confusion anymore.

His Excellency Governor Seyi Makinde has rattled their camp and exposed their shenanigans.

The case of Hon Ladi Adebutu is a typical example of confusion as seen in Adebutu’s bizarre court case.

He instituted a case against the PDP as the plaintiff, adding the National Legal Adviser as the defendant. He then appointed a lawyer for the party and interestingly, the lawyer who is supposed to defend the party against Adebutu’s claim will also be paid by Adebutu. This is a case that has both plaintiff and defendant lawyers working for Adebutu.

You can now see what Governor Makinde referred to as ‘Arrangee judgement’.

I hereby warn Sikirulai Ogundele, to stop wearing a title that is alien and unconstitutional to the PDP. They joined forces to destroy but God has scattered their plans.

As His Excellency, Governor Seyi Makinde has pointed out: “PDP is the best alternative for Nigerians. At this moment, we should be expending our energies in positioning our party and gearing up for leadership at the national level. We must show Nigerians that we are the real deal.”

This is a man who has the best intention for not just his people but the PDP and it’s entire members in the South West Zone.
