CJTF Praises Security Forces for their bravery and dedication during ongoing counter-insurgency operations across Nigeria.

The Civilian Joint Task Force (CJTF) has formally commended Nigeria’s security forces for their unwavering dedication and sacrifice amid ongoing counter-insurgency operations in the Northeast and Northwest regions.

The statement was released on Wednesday by the CJTF national leadership in Abuja, highlighting the bravery and commitment of soldiers, police officers, and intelligence operatives defending communities nationwide.

Mr. Chukwuemuka Ezike, Patron of the CJTF, praised the courage of security personnel, stating, “Every day, our gallant men and women in uniform face unimaginable risks to keep our communities safe.

Their courage and sacrifice have inspired ordinary Nigerians to rise and join hands in support of our shared mission, which is to secure our nation and protect the future of our people.”

The CJTF emphasised that effective security requires collaboration between military forces, intelligence services, traditional leaders, and civilian populations.

Through community engagement and information sharing, the CJTF has supported Nigerian security agencies in conflict-affected areas, complementing their efforts to curb insurgency, banditry, and criminal activity.

“The strength of our nation lies in our unity,” Mr. Ezike added. “When security agencies, traditional leaders, communities, and the youth work together, no threat is too great to overcome. This partnership is what gives hope to millions of Nigerians.”

Despite successes, Nigeria’s security forces continue to face formidable challenges. Data from the National Human Rights Commission indicated that at least 2,266 people were killed by insurgents and bandits in the first half of 2025, exceeding the total for all of 2024.

Reaffirming its commitment to national security, the CJTF urged Nigerians to support security agencies through vigilance, information sharing, and community cooperation. “We stand firmly with our brothers and sisters in uniform,” Mr. Ezike said.
