The spiritual head of the Celestial Church of Christ Worldwide, His Eminence, Rt. Rev. Emmanuel Mobiyina Friday Oshoffa, was yesterday, Sunday, August 8, 2022, at the CCC King of Kings Cathedral to officially install her new shepherd, Venerable Superior Evangelist Yomi Oni.
Recall that since the commissioning of the church over six months ago, December 2021 to be precise, this is the first time the church is officially getting a shepherd.
Rt. Rev. Oshoffa prayed for the new shepherd and the church before taking his leave to attend the harvest of the Celestial Church of Christ National Headquarters, Makoko.
The outgoing shepherd, Assistant Venerable Superior Evangelist Olajide Salako, who diligently led the the young cathedral since it was founded would be returning to the sister church in Canada.
In his goodbye message, AVSE Salako appealed to the congregants to extend the same level of love and respect given to him and dedication to the progress of the CCC KOK Cathedral to the new shepherd.
Shepherd Salako, who called the new shepherd his elder brother, said he had strong conviction that the pedigree of VSE Oni made him a perfect match.
Other activities in during the service included the official ordination of new elders and certification of the existing ones by the new prophet.
The 56 year old Shepherd Oni, who was humbled by his new position at the cathedral, has been in God’s service as a shepherd for over 35years.
