As part of efforts to complement efforts of the Yobe State government in the fight against coronavirus, the Management of Fidelity Bank has donated five million naira for the prevention and control of the pandemic in the state.
While receiving the donation in Damaturu, deputy governor of the state and chairman of the state’s Committee on COVID-19, Hon. Idi Barde Gubana (Wazirin Fune), thanked the management of the bank for the donation.
Gubana said, “The donation would go a long way in complementing the efforts of His Excellency Hon. Mai Mala Buni is containing the spread of the virus across the state.”
The chairman charged other corporate organisations to emulate Fidelity Bank, assuring that the donation would be utilised for the purpose intended.
The regional manager of the Bank, Dr. Musa Tarinbuka, while presenting the cheque, said donation was part of the Bank’s social responsibility and contribution to the fight against the pandemic in Yobe State.
The regional manager who commended commitment of the state government in the fight against the disease said Fidelity Bank is poised towards supporting government policies for success.
Tarinbuka assured that, “The bank would be an active partner in the fight against coronavirus pandemic among other diseases across the state.”
