Carter Efe hails Davido for support during Twitch livestream while criticising Wizkid for failing to acknowledge his hit song “Machala.”
Popular content creator Carter Efe has publicly praised Afrobeats superstar Davido for his transformative support, while taking a subtle swipe at Grammy-winning artist Wizkid for neglect.

Speaking during a TikTok live session, Efe recounted the December 2025 Twitch livestream where Davido appeared as a guest.
The broadcast became one of the most-watched Twitch sessions by an African creator, significantly boosting Carter Efe’s visibility and followers.
“Davido is a legend and a real supporter. He came to my livestream and changed the game for me,” Carter Efe stated, describing the 30BG leader as someone consistently willing to uplift others in the entertainment space.
In contrast, Carter Efe voiced frustration with Wizkid, highlighting his 2022 hit single Machala, which topped charts in Nigeria.
Despite the song’s commercial success, he claimed Wizkid did not acknowledge or respond to the tribute.
“But Wizkid couldn’t even say ‘hi’ to me, even after I made a song for him that went number one. Yet he had time to reply Seun Kuti. Wizkid no reply me wey drop number one song, Machala, na their him muzz me. Omo, Davido will live long,” Efe lamented.
