Cross Okonkwo wedding scam warning issued as BBNaija star alerts fans about fake wedding invite sales and urges caution

Big Brother Naija reality star Cross Okonkwo has issued a stern warning to fans over an alleged scam involving fake sales of invitations to his upcoming wedding.

Cross Okonkwo raised the alarm via his Instagram story, stating that an individual had been demanding as much as ₦500,000 from unsuspecting fans for access to his wedding ceremony.

The reality star clarified that no tickets were being sold for the event and described the individual behind the claims as a fraudster who should be reported immediately.

“Pls, no one should pay anybody money,” Cross Okonkwo wrote, urging fans to be vigilant and stressing that only authorised access cards were being issued through official channels.

Okonkwo Warns Public About Fake Wedding Ticket Scheme comes amid growing excitement surrounding his marriage to Chinonso, following their court wedding held earlier in the year.

Cross Okonkwo and Chinonso officially tied the knot on 23 February 2026, marking a significant milestone in their relationship after a widely publicised proposal in October 2025.

The couple’s journey has drawn considerable public attention, with Cross Okonkwo previously sharing heartfelt messages celebrating his partner and expressing gratitude for their union.

In past years, Cross Okonkwo has also been linked to various romantic conversations within the BBNaija community, though he has consistently clarified his relationship status and intentions.

The latest alert underscores ongoing concerns about celebrity impersonation scams and the exploitation of public figures’ personal events for financial fraud.
