After BUA Cement’s price slash, Dangote Cement Plc has denied reports that the company has also embarked on sales promotion in some online platforms and has further adjusted its prices, according to a statement released by management.

Some online news platforms reported Dangote slashed its cement retail price below N3,000 in reaction to BUA’s decision to reduce the price per bag of cement. The speculative report appears to be totally false, pre-meditated on expected reaction in normal business circumstances.

In response to the misleading report, the Chief Branding and Communications Officer of the Dangote Group, Anthony Chiejina described the reports as mischievous, malicious, and false.

He added that the Management has formally notified the law enforcement agents to track down, name, and shame the perpetrators of this devious and deceptive information.

He urged Dangote’s Cement customers and other stakeholders to continue patronising the high-quality cement brand and be careful of scammers, who are bent on defrauding their funds.

MarketForces Africa reported that BUA Cement Plc announced a steep reduction in the price per bag of its cement, a strategic move supported by consistent capital investment to boost volume growth.

In a statement, the company said it has officially reduced ex-factory cement prices to N3,500 per bag effective October 2, 2023.
