Rep Abdussamad Dasuki alleges gazetted tax bills differ from versions passed by the National Assembly, calling for urgent review
Member of the House of Representatives, Abdussamad Dasuki, has drawn attention to alleged discrepancies between the gazetted copy of Nigeria’s new tax laws and the versions harmonised and passed by the Senate and the House. He raised the matter under privilege during Wednesday’s plenary session.

Dasuki claimed that several clauses in the circulated gazetted version differ from those agreed upon by lawmakers.
“What was passed on this floor is not what is gazetted. I gave my vote, and it was counted, yet I am seeing something completely different,” he said.
The lawmaker urged Speaker Tajudeen Abbas to refer the documents to the Committee of the Whole to review and amend inconsistencies. He described the issue as a breach of the Constitution and an affront to the legislative process.
