‘Development commencement’ OPIC intends to invest over N3.889bn on housing, others next year

The Ogun State Property and Investment Corporation (OPIC) has announced that its total spending for the 2019 fiscal year will be N3.889 billion.

Mr. Abiodun Fari-Arole, the Managing Director of SA OPIC, disclosed this while defending the Corporation’s budget estimate for 2022 before members of the State House of Assembly Committee on Finance and Appropriation, chaired by Hon. Olakunle Sobukanla, at the Assembly Complex, Oke-Mosan, Abeokuta.

Fari-Arole stated that the funds would be used to complete the second phase of housing at the King’s Court Estate Phase II, Abeokuta, and the BOFT Apartment at Warewa; the opening of internal access roads at Agbara and New Makun City to boost land sales and ease occupant movement within the Estate; and the start of the development of two new Estates at Siun Axis and Ijebu- Ode/ Epe Express road, among other things.
The MD stated that he will break down the budget estimate.
