D’Tigress coach Rena Wakama announces 12-player squad for 2026 FIBA Women’s World Cup qualifiers in France
D’Tigress head coach Rena Wakama has unveiled her final 12-player roster for the 2026 FIBA Women’s World Cup Qualifying Tournament set to take place in Villeurbanne, France, from March 11 to 17.

The squad features key regulars including Ezinne Kalu, Promise Amukamara, Amy Okonkwo, Murjanatu Musa, and Sarah Ogoke, who were selected from an earlier provisional list.
Nigeria’s African champions will compete against France, Philippines, Colombia, Germany, and South Korea. The D’Tigress will kick off their campaign against Colombia on March 11.
Coach Wakama expressed confidence in the team’s preparedness and competitive edge, highlighting the blend of experience and youthful talent in her roster.
“We have a balanced squad capable of challenging top teams. Our focus is on executing disciplined strategies and representing Nigeria with pride,” she said.
