Edo Police launch probe into Aviele kidnap video, assuring public of swift action and full accountability for any culprits
The Edo State Police Command confirmed today that it has commenced a full investigation into the Aviele kidnap video circulating on social media, which alleges the abduction of a couple in Edo North.

Police Public Relations Officer Moses Yamu stated that all necessary operational and investigative measures were immediately activated following the report.
He emphasised that anyone found complicit, whether directly or indirectly, will face arrest and prosecution under extant laws.
The Commissioner of Police, Monday Agbonika, directed a thorough probe into the incident. Residents have been urged to remain calm and provide credible information to assist the ongoing investigation.
“The command reiterates its unwavering commitment to the security and safety of all residents of Edo State,” the statement read, adding that updates will be provided as the inquiry progresses.
