The Alakija of Ikija, Oba Shamusideen Ayorinde, is dead.
Oba Shamusideen Ayorinde, whose death was announced by his brother, Engineer (Chief) Seni Ayorinde and daughter, Chief Bola Ayorinde, the Otun Lika of Egbaland, disclosed that the Egba monarch died early today at the age of 88 years as a result of brief illness.
The announcement further said that the late Monarch’s burial rites would be conducted by the Egbaland Muslim Organization at 10am on Sunday, July 5, 2020.
