INEC Director of Voter Education and Publicity, Mrs Victoria Eta-Messi, said 2,572,054 registrants have completed their voter registration both online and through physical capture.

She noted that the first phase of the CVR exercise will end on 10 December, while the register will be displayed for claims and objections from 15 to 21 December.

Mrs Eta-Messi said the nationwide exercise opened with online pre-registration on 18 August 2025, followed by physical registration across the 774 local government areas from 25 August.

She explained that the second phase will begin on 5 January 2026.

She urged eligible citizens to verify their details and report errors or ineligible entries during the statutory display.

She said public participation remains vital to safeguarding the credibility of the voters’ register.

INEC’s latest update shows that, as of 28 November, 1,503,832 Nigerians completed registration online, while 1,068,222 completed physical capture across the country.

She confirmed that the CVR exercise remains suspended in Anambra State and the Federal Capital Territory due to electoral activities.

Mrs Eta-Messi said new dates for resumption in both areas will be announced later.
