[dropcap]A[/dropcap]n 80-year-old drug dealer, Pa Aremu Shojobi, was arrested in Lagos with 14 kilograms of cannabis. He has sold drugs for 25 years.
In a significant drug bust, Pa Aremu Shojobi, an 80-year-old grandfather, was apprehended by the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) in Lagos.

The operatives seized 14 kilograms of cannabis from his residence in the Iyana Ipaja area on September 20. According to agency spokesman Femi Babafemi, Shojobi confessed to selling illicit drugs for the last 25 years.
He claimed to source his supplies from Benin Republic, operating daily from 7 am to 10 pm.
The NDLEA’s operations extended beyond this arrest. On September 17 and 20, the agency recovered 25 million pills of tapentadol and 350,000 bottles of codeine syrup at Tin Can port.
The estimated total value of these seizures is N16.175 billion.
In a related raid on September 18, 226 kilograms of cannabis were recovered from a community leader’s family in Badagry.
