‘Empty vessels…’ PDP chieftain mocks Alao Akala, Oyo APC for celebrating zero success over court injunction

The All Progressives Congress, APC, Oyo State has been described as an empty vessel that makes loud noises full of fury but lacking of substance by the ruling party in the state.

Reacting to developments resulting from supreme court judgement on the sacked local government chairmen in Oyo State, Oyo PDP chieftain and chairman, Oyo Pacesetters Transport Company, Dare Adeleke, said the APC were celebrating zero success and dancing a macabre dance of emptiness.

In a statement issued in Ibadan and made available to Freelanews recently, Adeleke said:

“The prayers of the dislodged chairman to return wasn’t granted and their tenure has fizzled out like a lost kite. Definitely, whoever is jubilating, is celebrating zero success.

“The fact of the matter is that the case actually favoured His Excellency, Governor Seyi Makinde but in its usual manner, the APC still believes he who shouts loudest wins the public opinion but people have since deciphered the emptiness in the cantankerous APC and their agents of propaganda.

“The simple truth is that the apex court, in its judgement, noted that the the tenures of the sacked council chairmen and councillors have expired and only reiterated the earlier stance of the Governor Seyi Makinde led State Government, who had offered compensation to the sacked local governments before now.

“However, as it is their stock in trade, the APC has gone to town touting all sorts of claims and spreading lies.

“Is it not laughable that a man such as the former Governor Alao Akala is telling us not to proceed with democratic elections, that will usher in chairmen in the state?

“I am not surprised at such ludicrous reasoning because as we recall, the APC, an epitome of illegality and corruption, used care taker local government chairmen for seven whole years.

“If they are celebrating a non-victory now, then they would have called for bottles of champagne if the apex court, did not uphold that the Local Government election which is billed to hold on May 22, 2021 will proceed without any legal infringement.”

Adeleke reiterated that the PDP Oyo State has come in to usher in true Democracy and has been doing that for the past two years, which has successfully edged out the days of impunity and illegality as imposed by the ‘riotous and inept APC’.

“The APC and their ALGON, who see their failure as a pass mark should prepare to go back to court on the number of chairmen and councilors to be paid because only 33 Chairmen are recognized by the law. Let’s see how far the legal tussle will take them. I know for sure, the laws of the land are just and fair.

“I expected the APC family to cover their eyes in shame. Tenure has since expired. They can’t go to work, they are gone, but no, APC never keeps quiet not even when they utter sounds without meaning.

“They have lost this one and they will continue to lose,” he concluded.
