Former Arsenal youth academy player, Jay Bothroyd, has urged the Gunners to pay defender William Saliba whatever amount he wants.

Saliba faces an uncertain future at the Emirates due to contractual issues with the North London club.
The 22-year-old formed a strong partnership with Gabriel Magalhaes at the heart of Arsenal’s defence and had a massive impact this season.
Saliba has one year left on his contract with Arsenal, and there are now doubts that he will sign a new deal.
As per SunSport, his wage demands ‘shocked’ Arsenal hierarchy, and they may be forced to sell him this summer transfer window.
But Bothroyd has now given his thoughts on the matter as he said (via HITC): “Honestly, I think Saliba has every right to demand similar money to top Arsenal earners.
“It was not long ago that Chambers and Mari were chosen ahead of him, Arteta saying he’s not progressing fast enough! That obviously upset him, now Saliba holds the cards you have to pay him.”
