The former Ekiti governor implored the presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party to accept defeat in the interest of the nation and asked for his immediate resignation for his inability to move the party forward.
The former Governor of Ekiti State, Ayodele Fayose, also congratulated President-elect Bola Tinubu on his victory in the presidential election held last Saturday.
He said this in a tweet on Wednesday.
In a tweet, he wrote: “I congratulate Asiwaju Bola Tinubu on his election as the next President of Nigeria.”
