[dropcap]R[/dropcap]enowned Nollywood actress and filmmaker Funke Akindele has confidently predicted that her latest movie, Everybody Loves Jenifa, will rake in ₦5 billion at the box office this December.

If her projection comes true, the film will shatter the record previously set by her earlier work, A Tribe Called Judah, which became the first Nigerian movie to cross the ₦1 billion mark.

The highly anticipated Everybody Loves Jenifa premiered on Sunday night in Lagos, drawing a star-studded crowd, including celebrities and Akindele’s estranged friend, Eniola Badmus.

Akindele’s optimistic outlook is a testament to her influence in Nollywood and the success of the Jenifa franchise, which has resonated with audiences across Nigeria and beyond.

With her track record of delivering blockbuster hits, industry insiders are eager to see if the movie will meet or exceed its ambitious target.

The film is set to hit cinemas nationwide in December, with fans eagerly awaiting another comedic and heartwarming journey with the beloved character, Jenifa.

As anticipation builds, Everybody Loves Jenifa is poised to make a significant impact on Nigerian cinema.
