A video capturing Nollywood actress Funke Akindele and actor Tobi Makinde at Timini Egbuson’s movie premiere has sparked heated speculation about their relationship.

In the clip, Akindele and Makinde, who previously played her personal assistant in Jenifa’s Diary, were seen standing a few feet apart on the red carpet but did not exchange pleasantries.

At one point, Akindele appeared to look in Makinde’s direction, yet no interaction occurred.

Fans were divided over the footage, with some suggesting the pair may have greeted each other off-camera.

Others noted that Makinde not promoting Akindele’s recent project, A Tribe Called Judah, Behind the Scenes, or Akindele missing his wedding, might indicate tension.

Makinde previously described Akindele as his mentor, praising her influence on his career in a 2024 interview. Their apparent closeness on set had earned admiration from fans, making the alleged snub even more notable.
