A governorship candidate on the platform of the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC, and woman activist, Hon. Khairat Animashaun-Ajiboye, has stated that her motive in the forth coming election is to correct avoidable anomalies.

Animashaun-Ajiboye also enjoined the both the party leaders and the followers to live above these anomalies while applauding the national chairman of APC, Alhaji Abdulahi Adamu, for giving political liberty of participation to women.

Recall that the ruling party reaffirmed its policy to allow women participate in elective positions and free nomination form for women.

She made these known during a media conference held in Lagos at the instance of the party’s chairman in Lagos State.

A SHORT ADDRESS BY HER EXCELLENCY – KHAIRAT ANIMASHAUN – AJIBOYE ON WEDNESDAY 20TH APRIL, 2022 AT A PRESS CONFERENCE AT THE INSTANCE OF THE OUR CHAIRMAN

It is a great privilege to stand here today before this great convocation of great minds on this day – which will go down in the history of APC’s growth as a landmark event conceived with impactful moral lessons.

Firstly, permit me to recognize the hierarchy of record – breaking leaders and mentors in our midst here present before I commence with my address in brevity.

I greet my ebullient chairman, all state secretaries, all ward leaders and chairmen; also other members serving the party in various capacity, not forgetting the members of the press and media. I welcome you all to this august occasion.

I also would love to use this opportunity to suggest and propose a welcome back into the fold of APC, our chairman, Prince Sunday Ajayi and all our leaders, men, women and youth! It is a honour!

Having said that much, I will not be fulfilled in my assignment and purpose of this event if I fail to appreciate the National Chairman of APC in the person of Alhaji Abdulahi Adamu, for evolving a novel policy which gave liberty to women in the political frontier and race to vie for elective positions in the party structure. I am more than grateful, your excellency.

It is imperative to state at this juncture that, I have preconceived this idea precisely ten years ago but, it came stronger this time than ever. I can’t explain why?

But just as I was trying to reason out the appropriate justification for this proposition; the party policy to allow women participate in elective positions and the free nomination form for women factor came through to light (All thanks to Alhaji Abdulahi Adamu led APC National Executives).

That, therefore gave added impetus to my agitating sojourn to clamour for continuity in my consistency at serving humanity.

You will all agree with me that Man proposes and God disposes. That is the circumstance surrounding my intention in this regards.

In the light of the foregoing, I have resolved that my policies MUST reflect PARTICIPATION for the benefit of HUMANITY.

I have been there, done that! We all know the decadence which had overwhelmed our social space and bedeviled our nascent values; eroding our cultural and moral values in every facets of our lives. I have seen and heard; people molested and prejudiced; people kidnapped and killed; people living in abject poverty in the midst of plenty; capable hands rendered jobless and unproductive; people economically handicapped due to planlessness and purposelessness on the part of most of us including the followers; decayed and dilapidated infrastructures; lack of pipe borne water; poor power supply; nose diving investment ; gross exploitation of the masses; excessive levies and taxes without a corresponding transfer of benefits to the masses; people homeless; innocent ones suffer victimization; criminals living large at the instance of impunity and miscarriage of Justice; square pegs in round holes to mention but just a few.

All of these as the aforementioned are coined to be “avoidable ANOMALIES” – which shouldn’t be allowed to persist. These, I can tell you takes its toll on innocent masses who are the electorates. These are the people who put their all at stake to ensure the institutions of governance. Why then should they be made to suffer prejudice, negligence, intimidation, exploitation and relegation? We all can and must do better!

CONCLUSION

It is TIME to rise up above all of these as a people. We are more than what we have been conjectured to be by the bourgeoisie (masses). We are the “KING MAKERS” – we own the “POWER”.

We are the ONES who call the SHOTS.

Leaders!! Servants!!! This is our TIME to work together!!

#DareToBeUnconventional#

Thank you for listening and for your time.

Regards
Khairat Animashaun – Ajiboye.
