A self-acclaimed pastor, Uchenna Chukwuma, 21, has been nabbed by Anambra police for reportedly killing Oliver Chukwudi Ugwu, 60 who is a native doctor in Umusiome, Nkpor.
Anambra spokesperson, Haruna Mohamed revealed that police arrived at the scene suddenly and arrested the suspect who revealed that it was God’s instruction to kill the late native doctor. The police also disclosed that the Uchenna said that the 60-year-old native doctor was worrying him spiritually and has brought his financial status to a standstill.
According to the Police, Oliver Chukwudi was declared dead after he was rushed to the hospital for medical attention. The machete used to execute the heinous act was recovered as an exhibit.
Haruna Mohammed added that the case has been handed over to the State Criminal Investigation Department, Awka for a thorough investigation to reveal all circumstances surrounding the death.
