Dubbed the “Budget of Sustainability,” the financial plan represents a 32.5% increase over the 2024 budget of N2.3 trillion, signalling a bold commitment to economic growth and infrastructure development.

The 2025 budget allocates 41% (N1.239 trillion) to recurrent expenditure and 59% (N1.766 trillion) to capital expenditure, highlighting a strong focus on developmental projects aimed at driving economic growth.
Governor Sanwo-Olu noted that the budget underscores his administration’s dedication to sustainable development, with an emphasis on projects that will boost the state’s economy and improve the quality of life for its residents.
