Renowned actress Halima Abubakar recently shared her candid reflections on her experiences in the entertainment industry, expressing regret over encounters with certain individuals during her formative years. In an exclusive interview with Saturday Beats, Abubakar revealed her sentiments, stating that she found many people she met in her youth to be “useless,” attributing this to her candid nature and inability to tolerate insincerity.

Despite her past challenges, Abubakar offered words of encouragement to women in the industry, urging them to persevere and assert their independence. She emphasized the importance of women striving hard and making their own financial decisions, acknowledging the gradual changes in the industry.

Abubakar also addressed prevalent gender biases in the entertainment sphere, lamenting the objectification of women by some men and the perception that women are incapable of performing well. She highlighted the influence of industry cabals and internal power struggles, which often hinder progress and unity among professionals.

Despite these challenges, Abubakar remains committed to authenticity and empowerment within the industry, advocating for greater recognition of women’s talents and contributions. Her candid revelations shed light on the complexities and obstacles faced by women in entertainment, while also inspiring resilience and determination in the face of adversity.
