A new video has surfaced online that is currently getting Nigerians angry all over again over brutality.

While #EndSARS agitation is about a unit of the Nigerian police brutality, the new video kept Nigerians wondering if the army hasn’t turned the new SARS ever since the Buhari led-government claimed to have ended controversial unit.

In the video posted by one Sadiq Ango Abdullahi, with Twitter handle @sadiqango, a group of men, who appeared to be members of the Nigerian armed forces were seen beating a man who alighted from a white SUV with sticks and iron.

According to the narrative, the man was allegedly abused for breaking the curfew. He was ordered down from the vehicle and beaten thoroughly.

Abdullahi wrote:

Disbanding SARS was a charade by @MBuhari. This happened yesterday in Jos, a friend @usm69h was beaten in broad daylight with sticks and iron by the @HQNigerianArmy for trying to aid his pregnant wife. Is this the new SARS? #EndSARS @SaharaReporters @channelstv

And as usual, Nigerians have taken to the comment section to react to the video. While some knocked the army for the act, others blamed the man for being too timid, while others claimed since the north allegedly didn’t support #EndSARS protest, they should face the music alone.

We in the south always pass through this, when we started fighting back, they were making it a ethic thing, one even had to make a video thread saying northerners should come together Cos they want to hang up against Buhari so they can impeach him, they should taste this one too pic.twitter.com/yxZqBuGgfy

Composure is one thing most Nigerians need to learn when confronted by those in uniform! How can you step out of your car and allow them to treat you like an animal without engaging them. Still shouting you are sorry sir. Smh

The popular Nigerian blogger, socio-economic, political commentator and social media expert has also added his voice and tweeted.

I hope you @usm69h press charges against the @HQNigerianArmy. This should not happen in a country governed by sane human beings. We watch the Nigerian Airforce lead with love video after video, some of these soldiers? The less said, the better.

The Nigerian military is yet to respond as at the time of going to press.
