Check your 2025 NECO SSCE results online at results.neco.gov.ng using your exam number and valid token. Follow this step-by-step guide to access your result

2025 NECO SSCE results are now officially out, and candidates who sat for the examination can access their scores via the National Examinations Council (NECO) online result portal.

NECO released the results 54 days after the conclusion of the June/July internal Senior School Certificate Examination (SSCE), with over 60% of candidates scoring five credits and above, including Mathematics and English.

To ensure a smooth result-checking process, NECO has provided a clear step-by-step guide for all candidates.

Step-by-step guide to check 2025 NECO SSCE results:

  1. Visit the official NECO result portal at results.neco.gov.ng
  2. Select the examination year (2025) and the exam type (SSCE Internal or External).
  3. Enter your NECO Examination Number (usually found on your exam slip).
  4. Input your NECO Result Checking Token number.
This token must be purchased beforehand via the same portal or through NECO-authorised vendors.
  5. Click the “Check Result” button to view your grades.
  6. Download or print your result slip for future use, especially for admission or job applications.

Important Notes

  •  Ensure your token is purchased from the official NECO platform to avoid receiving invalid or expired codes.
  •  The result portal is mobile-friendly, so you can check using a smartphone, tablet, or computer.
  •  Each token can typically be used to check a result multiple times, but only for one candidate.

This year’s examination saw 1,358,339 candidates sitting for the exams, and 818,492 of them (60.26%) earned five credits and above, including the core subjects.

NECO Registrar, Prof. Ibrahim Wushishi, emphasised that the result marks a significant improvement in candidate performance and reflects the council’s efforts in reducing malpractice, which dropped by over 60% compared to the previous year.

Students, parents, and schools across Nigeria have welcomed the news with relief and excitement, with many now shifting focus to post-SSCE opportunities such as university admissions and scholarships.
