Nigerian Film director Alex Kleanson has spoken out about the criticism his wife Ekene Umenwa faced for meeting gospel musician Moses Bliss during their wedding reception.
We’ve heard that when Moses Bliss showed up unexpectedly at Ekene’s wedding ceremony over the weekend, the Nollywood actress was overcome with delight.
Online commenters were quick to criticize the bride, saying that her overzealous greeting of the musician was inappropriate.
The officiating MC at the wedding ceremony, Deacon Famous, in a video shared online, defended the movie star, stating that her actions were not wrong.
He emphasized that hugging the gospel minister was a product of her excitement, and the act of kneeling was a way to connect with the singer’s spiritual blessings while partaking in the heartfelt worship and prayer to God.
In a post shared on Instagram, Ekene’s husband said he is unbothered about the wife’s action towards Moses Bliss, adding that critics should shut up.
He wrote, “When God is involved everything becomes rosy.. @ekene_umenwa God bless you @deacon_famous, you get time to explain, I am not complaining… God bless you real good my brother @mosesbliss thank you for surprising my wife. God bless you. Please all of you should close your mouth.”
Reacting to the post, Ekene wrote, “My king the crown over my head God is involved may only the name of Jesus be praised amen thank you for my bestie @deacon_famous thank you for my bro @mosesbliss I will forever be grateful you made my wedding more colorful.”
