Governor Godwin Obaseki of Edo state has dismissed claims he has moved to a new political party.
The governor formally resigned his membership from APC yesterday June 16, and this ignited rumors that he has defected to the PDP where he will be running for a re-election.
However in a tweet posted today, June 17 the governor said he is yet to move to a new platform.
”I have not moved to a new platform yet to seek re-election. My focus now is to control the spread of the coronavirus (#COVID19) pandemic, which is ravaging our country and threatening our healthcare system. Stay safe.” he tweeted
