The command confirmed that the suspect is currently in police custody while the injured teenager is receiving medical treatment at a hospital.

Images shared on X by user Febechi showed visible injuries on the victim, including cuts on the right side of his face and deep wounds on his chest and forearm.

According to accounts shared online, the confrontation reportedly began after the teenager attempted to caution the suspect’s child who had been playing outside for an extended period.

The Lagos State Police Command stated that officers engaged with the complainants online and advised them to report formally at the nearest police station, after which the suspect was apprehended.

“The post was engaged, and they were advised to report at the nearest police station, which they did. The boy is receiving treatment at the hospital, and the suspect is presently in police custody,” the police said in a statement.
