Residents of Itech, Idegun, Isheri, Ijegun, Lagos State, have intensified an appeal for assistance after an unidentified woman was found naked in the area and reportedly refused clothes offered to her by people who tried to help.
A video circulating online showed the woman sitting in the area while residents appealed to members of the public who might know her or her family to come forward.

People at the scene said attempts were made to provide her with clothing, but the woman allegedly declined to wear them. The reason for her refusal remains unclear.
The circumstances surrounding how the woman arrived at the location have not been established, while claims made in the circulating video that she was allegedly abandoned by an individual described as a “Yahoo boy” have not been independently verified.
The rescue appeal has continued as residents express concern about her wellbeing and seek support to ensure she receives appropriate care.
“If anybody knows this woman or knows her family, they should come and pick her up,” a voice heard in the video said in Yoruba.
Community members have urged anyone with useful information about the woman’s identity or relatives to contact local authorities or community representatives.
The incident has drawn attention to the challenges of responding to vulnerable individuals found in public spaces, particularly when their identity and personal circumstances are unknown.
