The hybrid event, themed “Give to Gain,” highlighted generosity, mentorship, and collaboration as drivers of sustainable growth for individuals, organisations, and communities.
Folake Soetan, Chief Executive Officer of Ikeja Electric, commended the women of IE and encouraged participants to reflect on how giving can shape personal and professional journeys.
She said leaders achieve lasting impact by uplifting others, sponsoring talent, and creating opportunities.
“Soetan said: ‘At different points in our lives, someone gave so that we could gain. The question we must ask ourselves today is: are we doing the same for others? There is no real power in holding on to opportunities.’”
Dr. Kola Adesina, Chairman of the Board of Directors, celebrated women’s resilience and influence, noting that acts of generosity and leadership extend benefits beyond the individual to families, communities, and nations.
“Every act of generosity, every sacrifice, and every courageous step lifts not just the individual woman but the many lives connected to her,” Adesina said.
Speakers at the event included Morenike Molehin, CEO of Oak and Teak Interiors, who emphasised self-love and authenticity as the foundation for meaningful contribution; Jane Ezezobor, Marketing Communications Professional, who encouraged women to measure impact and communicate achievements; Dr. Chidi Onyedika, CEO of NEM Health Limited, who highlighted women’s health as crucial to sustaining society; and Dr. Odiri Oginni, CEO of United Capital Asset Management Limited, who underscored financial independence.
