The warning comes as residents of Lagos continue to rely on multiple transport options beyond BRT services, including ferries, danfo buses, and ride-hailing platforms such as Uber and Taxify.
Security analysts note that this raises questions about the true motives behind the planned gathering.
Information circulating online suggests that the convergence could be used as a springboard for coordinated protests capable of destabilising Lagos and the wider South-West region, reflecting patterns observed during previous unrest.
Authorities emphasised the importance of proactive monitoring and responsible security coordination to prevent a recurrence of violent disturbances.
During the EndSARS unrest of 2020, Lagos suffered an estimated ₦1 trillion in damage to infrastructure, security facilities, and public assets a figure equivalent to nearly ₦3.9 trillion today.
