International Youth Day spotlight: IVETA President Serumu Igberadja praises global youth and pledges stronger support for skills development and cross-border opportunities
On this year’s International Youth Day, the President of the International Vocational Education and Training Association (IVETA), Serumu Igberadja, has praised young people across the globe for their resilience and potential, with a special message directed at Nigerian youths.

In a goodwill message marking the celebration, Igberadja reaffirmed IVETA’s commitment to driving youth empowerment through skills development, while promoting international collaboration in vocational education.
He emphasized that the association’s global mission includes creating a standardized TVET curriculum, enabling cross-border employment, and bridging skill gaps through strategic international partnerships.
“As we celebrate International Youth Day, let us acknowledge the immense potential of our youth and commit to creating an inclusive environment where they can thrive,” Igberadja stated.
He also called on governments, NGOs, and international institutions to work together in creating opportunities for youth through training, talent showcases, and supportive policies.
