When asked why he decided to venture into the hospitality business despite doing amazingly well in the information technology industry, Abidemi said, “I am from a household of food lovers, in fact, my father is a United Kingdom-trained baker and was the chief baker in the early days of Federal Palace Hotel, Lagos, he worked with the then famous MKO Abiola at his Concord Bakery and then spent most of his years as bakery supervisor with Park ‘n’ Shop (Now Spar) helping to set up bakeries across Nigeria before finally retiring in 2020. We naturally love the kitchen and Its entirety in my family, so floating a bakery business comes naturally to me.”

On what makes Bakersfield Pastries exceptional, he said, “We have an unbeatable range of menu for a pastry outfit, with over 10 categories of menu with great taste and nutritional value, diligently curated for our customers’ delight. Our choice of location is impeccable, we are situated in Opebi, the heart of Ikeja, Lagos State, which makes us very accessible. Everyone knows that the location has the bragging right for being the home of fun-loving Lagosians.”

Speaking on what prospective customers should expect, Abidemi said, “Asides from a great menu, we pride ourselves in having a beautiful space with top-notch appearance, in fact, most of our existing customers say we have a comfortable and stress relieving outfit, they literally feel relieved when they step in. Our great outlook is suitable for a get-together for lovers, friends, and families, team bonding activities for those in cooperate world, and generally a good place to chill. Fun-filled activities like Karaoke Night and many more await our customers. To cap it all, customer service is amazing, thanks to our friendly workers who work exceptionally to make Bakersfield Pastries feel like a home for our customers.”
